This chopped GQ patrol came in as a bare shell only with VE seats mounted up front. We customised the original rears seat frames to accept VE seats to match the front and fabricated a very strong mount for the Brass Monkey console fridge. In front of the fridge we made up some infill boxes with 3D printed cup holders to perfectly fit a can. All the seats were then recovered in grey and black cloth to complement the original colours of the GQ. The doortrims were treated to a new set of backing boards which we cut from Alupanel and recovered in the factory design. Headlining in the GQ were usually a very cheap vinyl, so we scrapped that one and hand fitted a new suede one and also recovered the sunvisors and recoloured all the plastic trim to suit. Dynamat, underfelt and carpet were also added to the rear wall to keep the road noise down. High quality rubber flooring was installed over thick underfelt and we customised the front console to clean up the front half of the car.
